Chase Field – Guided Tour

Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona Chase Field offers a guided tour for fans as many Major League stadiums do. Chase Field is home to the Arizona Diamond Backs (DBacks). Today, I joined a group to get the Chase Field experience. Does this tour hit a Home Run?I think the tour strikes out. I was very disappointed at the information and presentation of the field. Don’t get me wrong, I think the field is great. I love the fact that the roof can be opened to see the blue sky above and closed for those hot days when you want to escape the Phoenix heat.

This is not the first field tour I have taken — In the past two years, I have taken the field tour at Seattle’s Quest Field and San Diego’s Petco Park. I was disappointed on the Chase Field tour because they didn’t include a visit to the press box, they wouldn’t allow us to even step on the dirt surrounding the field (even when the grass was dormant and scheduled for replacement), and they didn’t show us memorabilia. The two other fields that I toured had much more to do and see on the tour. I hope Chase Field will make changes and improve the tour for future fans.

Here’s some photos I took — I wasn’t inspired to take very many pictures on this tour. :(

    David,
Found your page as I was trying to figure out how to spell arboretum and noticed a photograph very similar to one I took at BTA this spring. Great photographic eyes, see alike! Anyway, if you want to check out my version of the Demonstration Garden, its at http://www.redbubble.com/people/douglasvance
As a die hard Dbacks fan, I also wanted to let you know that they are the team at Chase Field. Cheers.
