Cactus Light Paintings

These two cactus light paintings were made in my back yard using a potted variety cactus. The technique is to expose the picture for 30 seconds with the lens aperature closed small enough to capture only the light of a flashlight that I use to paint parts of the picture. The third picture is a few colored glasses that I have.

    hey these are pretty cool…..
    before digital came out i had a nikon slr… i was getting pretty good at it…was alot of fun… then when my mom passed…. i have only been going to school and working…. am trying to get some of my former life back…. but very slowly i might add…anyway… i would put colored tissue paper over my flash or lense…. or cut out a shape and put over lense or flash…. try a shape cut out over the flashlite…. dont know what it will do… but,, try a diamond or heart shape in tissue paper…. that light painting is cool…..i lost my charger to my camera and have to replace it but i can use my daughters camera……… ( :
